Check Out Our GMC and Buick SUVs

The SUV market is highly competitive, which is no surprise considering how popular these vehicles have become over the last couple of decades. Whether you’re looking for a compact crossover SUV, a large traditional SUV, or anything in between, you have plenty of options to choose from. Here at Rick Hendrick, the best Buick GMC dealership near you, you’ll find lots of different models and trims available. With so many choices, however, the freedom to get what you want can become a bit overwhelming and make it hard to narrow down your options.
Today, we’re going to go through the seven Buick and GMC SUVs and briefly talk about what each of them has to offer and why we like them so much. You’ll find all sorts of different sizes and options here, so no matter what you’re looking for, we’ll have you covered. Since we can’t get into all of the details and specs on these models, however, you’ll want to come and visit us for more information about any of the vehicles you see here.
The 2021 Buick Encore
First up from Buick is a small crossover SUV, which is a great option if you want affordable style and luxury. The Buick Encore is one of the most popular crossovers on the market, with seating for up to five people across two rows. With an estimated 25 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway, it has excellent fuel economy for a vehicle of this class and is a great option for long road trips and commuting alike.
Inside the Encore, you get about 48 cubic feet of total cargo space behind the front row of seats. So whether you have a family you want to take with you, or you need to load up with luggage, the Encore is a great choice. With a 1.4L Turbo engine and available all-wheel drive, this SUV is also a lot of fun to drive and is reliable in all kinds of weather.

The 2021 Buick Encore GX
Don’t let the name fool you: the Encore GX is not a trim or variant of the Buick Encore but is its own model. The Buick Encore GX is also a small crossover, though it’s built on a different platform than the Encore, and it is slightly longer with more space inside. Despite its slightly larger size, the Buick Encore GX also has seating for five people and two rows, but it gets an estimated 30 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway.
One of the advantages of the larger size of the Encore GX compared to the Encore is that it gives you more interior space: the Encore GX has more than 50 cubic feet of total interior cargo space available. Much of this additional room is in the rear section, so you can really take advantage of it and load up the Encore GX quite easily. There are two engines available for the Encore GX, including a 1.3L Turbo option, which makes it very fun to drive.
The 2021 Buick Envision
If you want a bit more room inside your vehicle, but you don’t need more seating, then look for the Envision at the Buick dealership near you. The Envision is a compact crossover model, so it can still fit into just about any lifestyle. Fuel economy is a bit less of a focus for the Envision, with a greater emphasis on performance, but it still gets an estimated 24 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.
With two rows of seating for up to five people, the interior of the Buick Envision is perfect for loading up thanks to more than 52 cubic feet of total cargo volume available. More than 25 cubic feet of this space is just the rear compartment, so even with the rear seats up, a lot can fit into the back of the Buick Envision. A 2.0L Turbo engine and available intelligent all-wheel drive with an active twin-clutch setup make the Envision incredibly fun to drive and keep you in control no matter what you encounter on the road.
The 2021 Buick Enclave
Finally, among the Buick options, we have the Enclave, which is a midsize SUV that is notably larger than the other offerings from Buick. This model has three rows of seating and seats up to seven passengers, so it’s a great option if you have a growing family or a large group of friends. It gets an estimated 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway, which is quite good for an SUV of this size.
The Buick Enclave is a terrific choice if you have a boat or camper, as it has up to 5,000 lbs of towing capacity when properly configured. This is thanks in large part to its very impressive standard 3.6L V6 engine that provides 310 hp and comes paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Buick Enclave is surprisingly powerful and delivers a fun, responsive driving experience.
The 2021 GMC Terrain
The GMC SUVs that you can find at the GMC dealership near you are very easy to compare: there are three of them, neatly filling the compact, midsize, and full-size segments. First up is the GMC Terrain, which is a compact SUV with excellent features inside and out. It has two rows of seats with seating for up to five passengers – plus, you get a surprisingly large space inside with more than 63 cubic feet of total interior cargo volume behind the front row of seats. A standard 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, makes the GMC Terrain a lot of fun to drive. You have numerous trims to choose from with the Terrain, including the legendary Denali, which is filled with luxury materials and premium features.
The 2021 GMC Acadia

If you want a larger option, then the GMC Acadia is a midsize SUV that gives you three rows of seating for up to seven passengers. The Acadia gets an estimated 21 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway, which is quite good for a midsize model. With an available 3.6L V6 engine, the Acadia has a maximum towing capacity of up to 4,000 lbs when properly equipped, so you can take anything you want with you.
There are numerous trims to choose from with the Acadia, so you can get the level of luxury and comfort you want. Available features include a color head-up display, leather seating, and more with the Denali trim. But every trim provides you with up to 79 cubic feet of total interior cargo volume, giving you a tremendous amount of space for everything you need to pack up.
The 2021 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL
Finally, the GMC Yukon is a full-size SUV, with the Yukon XL offering an extended option if you want an even more spacious interior. Due to its tremendous size, the Yukon has three rows of seats with seating for up to nine people. Fuel economy is certainly not the focus for the Yukon or Yukon XL, but it can tow up to 8,400 lbs when properly equipped.
The standard Yukon has more than 25 cubic feet of cargo capacity in the rear, more than 72 cubic feet of space behind the second row of seats, and nearly 123 cubic feet of total interior cargo volume. With the larger Yukon XL, you get more than 41 cubic feet behind the third row, nearly 94 cubic feet of space behind the second row of seats, and more than 144 cubic feet of total interior cargo volume. That’s a tremendous amount of room to load up with everything you need.
