Whether you are heading to the local farmers market, taking a road trip with your family, catching waves with friends, commuting to work, or running errands around town, Buick promises its 2021 Encore GX can handle it all. As your premier Buick dealership in Atlanta, the team here at Rick Hendrick Buick GMC Duluth backs that promise and can’t wait for you to get behind the wheel of the luxury SUV. So, what does the Encore GX have to offer? Here’s a look at some of our favorite features on the sophisticated and adventure-ready Encore GX!

#1 Take My Money: Affordably Priced

We get it; not everyone wants to spend a small fortune on an SUV, especially one that only modestly performs and offers a mediocre suite of features. Fortunately, this is the least of your concerns with the 2021 Encore GX. The GX Preferred base model starts at $24,200 and is anything but basic. The Preferred offers an impressive suite of standard features like the Buick Driver Confidence Package and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration.

Drivers looking for the next level of luxury don’t have to spend a fortune with the Encore GX Select, starting at $25,800 and offering features like Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, heated front seats, and remote start. The Encore GX Essence is the highest-level trim option and, once again, impresses with a starting MSRP of $28,600. This trim option adds luxury features like leather seating, LED headlamps and taillamps, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 120-volt outlet for all your charging needs, and an air ionizer to purify and neutralize the air in the cabin.

#2 Take It Up a Notch: Next-Level Sophistication

For drivers looking for next-level sophistication, Buick offers the Sport Touring package on all three trims. For an additional $650, the package features an exclusive Sport Touring mesh grille finished in high-gloss black with red inserts that give the front of the GX a dramatic look. Drivers who choose the White Frost Tricoat, Chili Red Metallic, or Satin Steel Metallic exterior colors can take this dramatic look one step further by adding a distinctive blackout roof with black mirrors.

In addition to the blackout roof and mesh grille, the package also adds 18-in medium android high-gloss wheels and integrated roof rails. The roof rails make the GX capable of hauling everything from bikes and kayaks to snowboards and more. The GX was ready for any adventure, and that’s certainly true with the Sport Touring package.

#3 Room for More: Impressive Cargo Space

Drivers often have to make a few sacrifices when it comes to getting everything they want in an SUV, like sacrificing fuel economy for a larger vehicle that can comfortably fit both passengers and gear. With the Encore GX, those sacrifices are few and far between, thanks to the GX’s “game-changing cargo space” and seating for five. The GX’s flexible seating layout and reconfigurable cargo floor ensure drivers get the most out of the SUV’s impressive 50.2 cubic feet of cargo space that’s designed to fit a variety of lifestyle needs. Even with the seats up, you still get a respectable 23.5 cubic feet of space.

#4 Play It Safe: Buick Driver Confidence

Buick’s commitment to safety shines on the GX, which includes the Buick Driver Confidence suite as a standard feature on every trim model. These advanced safety features give drivers more confidence behind the wheel, whether they’re navigating a busy city street, cruising down the highway, or backing out of the garage. So, what’s in the package?

The package includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Automatic Intellibeam Headlamps, a Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. These features are designed to enhance the driver’s visibility around the vehicle and minimize the potential for front, rear, and side collisions. For example, Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking work together. Forward Collision Alert monitors the traffic ahead and notifies the driver in the event of a potential front-end collision or if they are tailgating or following too closely. Automatic Emergency Braking monitors these signals and engages the brakes if the driver fails to respond appropriately.

#5 Stay Connected: Tech-Savvy

Beyond its exceptional suite of safety features, the Encore GX also includes the latest technology. The full-color touchscreen display gives drivers instant connectivity thanks to the Buick Infotainment System that offers access to music, apps, navigation, and more. Drivers can seamlessly sync their smartphones with the GX using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. But Buick didn’t stop there and added Alexa to the lineup, giving drivers the ability to use Alexa to play music, make phone calls, navigate a new route, add items to their Amazon list, and much more!

Buick offers additional tech upgrades for drivers who want even more connectivity. These upgrades include a wireless smartphone charging station that makes charging a smartphone a breeze by simply placing the compatible device on the smart-charging tray. Drivers can also opt to add a rear camera mirror, which offers a clear view of the rear of the vehicle that drivers can further customize using brightness, zoom, and vertical-tilt adjustments.

#6 Save Time and Money: Buick Marketplace and Connected Services

Along the same lines of innovative technology is Buick Marketplace, which is an available feature on select GX models. The Marketplace is designed to save drivers time and money when they’re behind the wheel. The Marketplace app is connected to Yelp, which means drivers can search thousands of restaurants and make reservations with the touch of a button.

Marketplace, which is accessed via the center touchscreen display, also gives drivers the ability to dine on the go at the touch of a button. Drivers can order food from their favorite restaurant, pay for the order, and opt for pickup or delivery. Fortunately, dining isn’t the only convenient feature. Drivers can also search for the closest gas stations and the best fuel prices. You can even securely pay for fuel using the Marketplace app!

In addition to the Buick Marketplace, drivers can stay connected to their vehicle using Buick’s Connected Services. Drivers can select between three plans – Connected Access (free for 10 years), Remote Access ($14.99/month), or Unlimited Access ($39.99/month). The Connected plan offers vehicle diagnostics, Marketplace, and the Buick Smart Driver package. The Remote plan includes these services in addition to remote start capability, a vehicle location function, and on-demand diagnostics. Finally, the Unlimited plan adds unlimited 4G LTE data, turn-by-turn and connected navigation, and in-vehicle app access.
